Director of Ticket Operations



The Director of Ticket Operations will manage the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Ticket Office. The individual will be fully responsible for all aspects of Men’s Basketball ticket operations (i.e., season ticket renewals, sales, home and away game operations, postseason, etc.) and assisting with Football ticket operations. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to managerial oversight of Olympic sports ticket operations to be determined, game day event staff, and student employees. The Director will serve as the liaison to Alco Parking Corporation and JMI Sports as it relates to ticketing and parking needs. The individual will also serve as the primary contact with ticket stock designers and printers. The individual will manage the Paciolan ticketing system and generate sales, revenue, and inventory reports. The Director will be required to develop and implement new initiatives to increase ticket sales and other revenue streams. The individual will be required to travel with teams when needed. The Director will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations. The individual will be the primary ticketing liaison for the Junior Panther Club, preparing associated reports, promotions, and the membership on-sale. The individual must provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, including but not limited to donors, season ticket holders, and fans. The individual must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and have the ability to exercise independent judgment consistently.


Job Summary

Manages day-to-day ticketing operations, fulfills ticket orders, and answers ticketing inquiries. Oversees ticketing system and ensures accurate reporting, approvals, and dues. Coordinates the development, implementation, and logistical aspects of ticket sales and operations. Develops and implements new initiatives to increase ticket sales and other revenue streams.


Essential Functions

Managing the Paciolan ticketing system (i.e., user set-up and access, line codes, client names, consistency among season set-up, manifest creation, and reporting, etc.); ensuring daily transactions are recorded and reported appropriately (i.e., cash report auditing, bank deposits, sales allocations, etc.); complimentary ticket approvals; balance due management; etc. The individual will be required to fulfill ticket orders and answer general ticketing questions and inquires. Ticket operations includes but is not limited to the following: the development, organization, and implementation of strategies, procedures, and materials to ensure the proper sales set-up (online and back office) for season ticket renewals, new season ticket sales, student ticket sales, mini packages, single games, game day; away games, postseason games, etc.; generating reports relative to sales, revenue, and inventory; season ticket printing and mailing coordination; reconciliation following each event and at the end of the season; fulfillment of seating and parking upgrade requests based on priority points; visiting team coordination; away game ticket allocations; etc. Duties include the overall reconciliation and management of ticket sales revenue. The individual will travel with teams as needed and be required to use independent judgment on ticket operations while in travel status. Work with ticket sales team, marketing, and other external units to develop sales and communications plans. Manage all athletic ticket stock. Design, order, and maintain appropriate supply of season and single-game ticket stock.


Physical Effort

The individual must be able to use a computer and telephone. The individual will be required to travel by car, bus, and airplane. Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. The individual will be required to stand or move about for long periods of time at various events.
