Photojournalist/Videographer
The Roanoke Times is seeking a fellowship photojournalist/videographer. This is a 12-month position to fill in for a staff photojournalist on a fellowship.
The photojournalist will provide still images and video for articles that are clear and truthful corresponding with the topic.
Visuals taken should use creative devices while allowing the reader to gain a better understanding of what the story is about.
Duties will include daily photo and video coverage including but not limited to events, investigative features, or political news stories, breaking news, sports. Still images will require concise, thorough captions. Enterprise work and self-driven photo and/or video projects are encouraged.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights and weekends when assignments or events dictate. Must be able to coordinate with freelance photographers.
Must be able to work with editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photo Mechanic.
